Welcome to GREDI ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our educational resource platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using GREDI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users, including teachers, students, administrators, and visitors.

If you are using GREDI on behalf of an organization (such as a school or educational institution), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

GREDI provides the following educational services:

• Scheme of Work Resources: Access to CBC and 8-4-4 curriculum schemes of work
• Lesson Plans: Downloadable lesson plans aligned with Kenyan curriculum
• Assessment Materials: Exams, worksheets, quizzes, and rubrics
• AI-Powered Tools: AI-generated lesson plans and worksheets (Premium feature)
• Resource Management: Save, organize, and share educational resources
• Professional Development: Teaching guides and best practices

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent, to create an account. Teachers and educational professionals are our primary users.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Subscription Tiers

• Free Tier: Limited preview access to resources
• Premium Monthly: KES 499/month - Full access to all features
• Premium Annual: KES 4,990/year - Save 17% with annual billing
• Enterprise: Custom pricing for schools and institutions

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept M-Pesa (STK Push and Paybill) for all subscription payments. Additional payment methods may be added in the future.

4.3 Billing & Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You can cancel anytime before the renewal date
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial billing periods (see our Refund Policy)

4.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until the next renewal period.

4.5 Free Trial

• 7-day free trial available for new users
• One trial per user (restart available within 30 days of cancellation)
• Trial converts to paid subscription unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime during trial to avoid charges

5. Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content provided by GREDI (schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, etc.) is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may:

• Download and use content for personal teaching purposes
• Print copies for classroom use
• Adapt content for your specific students (with attribution)

You may NOT:

• Resell or redistribute our content
• Claim ownership of our content
• Remove copyright notices or attribution
• Use content for commercial purposes without written permission

5.2 User-Generated Content

If you upload or share content on GREDI, you retain ownership but grant us a license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform.

5.3 Trademarks

"GREDI" and our logo are trademarks of GREDI. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access content
• Attempt to bypass payment or access restrictions
• Upload malicious, illegal, or infringing content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Reverse engineer or modify our platform
• Use the service for any illegal purpose

7. Disclaimers & Warranties

7.1 Educational Purpose

GREDI provides educational resources for informational purposes. We do not guarantee that content aligns with every school's specific curriculum requirements. Teachers should review and adapt materials as needed.

7.2 No Professional Advice

Our content does not constitute professional educational advice. Always consult with your institution's administration and curriculum specialists.

7.3 Service Availability

We strive for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance and occasional outages may occur.

7.4 Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms of service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, GREDI shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Errors or inaccuracies in educational content
• Service interruptions or technical failures
• Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription anytime through your account settings. Access continues until the end of the billing period.

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of subscriptions
• Extended inactivity (12+ months)

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access GREDI ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations) shall remain in effect.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya.

We comply with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be:

• Posted on this page with updated "Last Updated" date
• Communicated via email for material changes
• Effective 7 days after posting (unless otherwise stated)

Continued use of GREDI after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.
